Medical Assistant-PATH

Description
Greet and register the Department of Homeless Services pediatric, adolescent, and adult applicants.
Collect all necessary HIPAA documents.
Adhere to all HIPAA compliance, privacy and confidentiality guidelines.
Complete registration sheets and makes copies of medical documentation provided.
Complete medical triage health screening form via CARES when needed.
Assist providers during assessments and/or treatments as needed, including translating.
Maintain Quality Control logs daily and perform relevant monthly QC duties.
Follow strict infection control guidelines to ensure proper clinic environment.
Submit requests for necessary supplies, medications, and equipment to the PATH Director.

The Shift for this position is Monday to Friday 12 noon-8pm.

Requirements
Current New York State Medical Assistant certificate; appropriate certification in first-aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation; some experience in the medical profession; ability to speak Spanish is preferable.

Salary Description
22.53 per hour
