How This Role Works:

Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.
This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and other stakeholders by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government-affiliated educational location.
Maintain an armed post in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, training, and Allied Universal policies; report observations and incidents through established channels.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with school leadership and public emergency responders as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, entrances, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor access points, verify authorized entry when required, document visitors and incidents, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and designated site personnel.
Minimum Requirements:

Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
Possess 1 or more years of security-related experience.
Possess 1 or more years of law enforcement experience, 2 or more years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or 3 or more years of security-related experience.
Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
