Job description

Who we are looking for
We are looking for a Supplier Support Manufacturing Engineer, a strong technical contributor who can partner effectively with suppliers, ensuring they fully understand product requirements and engineering changes. This person excels at resolving manufacturability challenges and driving improvements in quality and cost. They work closely with internal design and manufacturing teams, providing DFM guidance and assessing supplier capabilities to ensure alignment with production and product performance goals.

Salary range: $90,000-$105,000

What you will do
Collaborates as engineering interface between internal manufacturing, design, and quality teams and external suppliers.
Support suppliers in resolving manufacturability issues, process questions, and engineering clarifications.
Provide manufacturability reviews and guidance during new product design process including reviewing drawings, specifications, and manufacturing requirements for DFM.
Assess supplier capability, capacity, and manufacturing processes to ensure alignment with requirements.
Analyze manufacturing processes for yield, cost reduction, etc, including product changes and new product and manage continuous improvement efforts.
Develop tooling and test capability for prototype and production needs including training and development for suppliers.
Develop, maintain and manage changes for production documentation.
Travel to supplier locations both locally and internationally
Other duties as requested by management.
Requirements
Technical bachelor's degree preferred. A technical degree is defined as an electrical, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering technology field of study.
The ideal candidate will have a Manufacturing or Electrical Engineering degree and 5 years experience.
Experience working in an electronics manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of PCB assembly processes including soldering, inspection, and functional testing
Familiarity with mechanical assembly processes including threaded fasteners, epoxies, harness assemblyAble to compose assembly travelers and procedures to support production builds.
Familiarity with MRB processes, and dispositioning of defective hardware.
Should be a self-starter dedicated to quality
Superior written and spoken communication skills with an enthusiastic, cooperative 'can do' attitude are required.
Excellent interpersonal, problem solving and organizational skills combined with knowledge of manufacturing concepts is required.
Must be able to prioritize and support multiple projects.
Availability to travel to supplier locations both locally and internationally

Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds
Must be able to sit for an extended period of time
WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE: Must be able to legally work in the US without sponsorship. Must be able to pass a post offer DOT drug test upon hire.
