What You Will Do
Enterprise Marketing, Brand & Growth
Serve as the senior executive responsible for VNS Health's enterprise-wide marketing strategy, brand, market positioning, and reputation, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission, strategic priorities, and growth objectives.
Establish and advance the VNS Health enterprise value proposition, brand idea, brand positioning, brand architecture, and visual identity to strengthen awareness and preference among B2C and B2B audiences.
Lead marketing strategies across VNS Health's provider and health plan businesses, supporting revenue growth, market-share expansion, customer acquisition, loyalty, retention, engagement, and satisfaction.
Develop and oversee integrated, omni-channel marketing strategies across digital, social, web, advertising, content, direct marketing, and other channels.
Establish clear objectives, performance measures, and analytics for marketing investments and campaigns, using insights and market intelligence to continually improve effectiveness and return on investment.
Monitor health care, consumer, competitive, and market trends and partner with business leaders to evolve strategies in response to changing market conditions and organizational priorities.
Oversee the development of high-quality creative and content across digital platforms, advertising, video, collateral, and other marketing channels.
Direct relationships with external agencies, consultants, and vendors while ensuring effective collaboration with internal resources across VNS Health.
Communications, Public Relations & Reputation
Develop and lead an enterprise communications strategy that strengthens VNS Health's visibility, reputation, and position as a leader in home- and community-based health care.
Serve as the senior executive overseeing external communications, media relations, public relations, executive communications, thought leadership, and reputation management.
Identify opportunities to elevate VNS Health and its leaders in relevant health care, business, policy, community, and consumer conversations.
Lead communications strategy for complex, sensitive, and high-profile matters, including crisis and issues management.
Ensure public statements and enterprise communications are accurate, consistent, timely, and aligned with VNS Health policies, values, and organizational positions.
Direct enterprise internal communications, including executive and C-suite communications, employee communications, organizational announcements, internal digital communications, and change-management communications.
Partner with executive leadership and People & Culture leaders to strengthen employee understanding of VNS Health's strategy, mission, priorities, and organizational transformation.
Development & Philanthropy
Provide executive leadership for VNS Health's comprehensive development and fundraising strategy, building a sustainable philanthropic program aligned with the organization's mission and long-term strategic priorities.
Establish the strategic direction, priorities, goals, and operating model for fundraising across major gifts, planned giving, annual giving, corporate and foundation relations, sponsorships, special events, and other philanthropic channels.
Partner closely with the President and CEO, executive leadership, Board of Directors, and Board Development Committee to identify fundraising priorities and translate institutional needs into compelling philanthropic opportunities.
Develop and execute a long-term development strategy designed to expand VNS Health's donor base and increase philanthropic support.
Create effective cultivation, solicitation, engagement, and stewardship strategies for individual, corporate, and institutional donors throughout New York City and the broader region.
Build meaningful connections among prospective donors, organizational leadership, Board members, programs, and the communities served by VNS Health.
Strengthen development infrastructure and capabilities, including donor relations, stewardship, gift processing and acknowledgment, prospect development, and fundraising operations.
Executive Leadership & Organizational Partnership
Serve as a strategic advisor to the President and CEO and collaborate with executive leadership to establish mid- and long-range organizational and functional priorities.
Bring an enterprise perspective to business opportunities, challenges, market dynamics, reputation considerations, and organizational transformation.
Build strong partnerships across VNS Health's provider, health plan, and corporate functions to ensure coordinated and effective execution of enterprise priorities.
Develop and lead high-performing teams across marketing, communications, and development, creating an environment of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Recruit, develop, coach, and retain exceptional talent while ensuring the function has the organizational capabilities required to support VNS Health's evolving needs.
Establish and manage departmental budgets, resources, agency relationships, and investments to maximize organizational impact and financial stewardship.
Perform all responsibilities inherent in a senior executive leadership role, including oversight of hiring, development, performance management, compensation recommendations, and organizational design.
Lead or participate in enterprise initiatives and special projects as needed.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related discipline required.
Master's degree, MBA, or other relevant advanced degree preferred.
Professional Experience
Minimum of 10 years of progressive executive leadership experience across marketing, communications, public relations, development/philanthropy, or related disciplines, with demonstrated experience operating at significant organizational scale.
Significant senior leadership experience overseeing multidisciplinary teams and managing complex functions, budgets, external agencies, consultants, and vendors.
Demonstrated success developing and executing enterprise-level brand, marketing, communications, and reputation strategies.
Experience supporting growth-oriented organizations with multiple businesses, products, services, audiences, and stakeholders.
Demonstrated success leading comprehensive fundraising and philanthropy programs, including major gifts, institutional giving, Board engagement, donor cultivation, and stewardship.
Experience partnering effectively with a CEO, executive leadership team, and Board of Directors.
Experience leading public relations, executive communications, media relations, and crisis and issues management strongly preferred.
Health care, health plan, provider, consumer health, or other complex and highly regulated industry experience is highly desirable.
