Job description

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer to lead and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) efforts, with strong hands-on experience in Playwright for test automation. This role bridges business requirements and technical validation, ensuring that software releases meet functional, usability, and quality standards before reaching production.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automated UAT test suites using Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript or Python)
Translate business requirements and user stories into detailed test plans and acceptance criteria
Coordinate UAT cycles with business stakeholders, product owners, and end users
Execute manual and automated test cases across web, API, and (where applicable) mobile platforms
Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure Pipelines)
Perform cross-browser and cross-device compatibility testing
Collaborate with developers and BAs to resolve defects and clarify requirements
Maintain test documentation, traceability matrices, and sign-off reports
Support regression, smoke, and performance testing as needed
Advocate for quality best practices throughout the SDLC

Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience in QA/testing, with at least 1–2 years focused on UAT
Hands-on experience with Playwright (Node.js, TypeScript, or Python bindings)
Solid understanding of the software testing lifecycle (STLC) and UAT methodology
Experience writing and executing test plans, test cases, and defect reports
Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
Basic understanding of API testing (Postman, REST Assured, or similar)
Strong communication skills to work directly with business stakeholders
Preferred / Relevant Technology Experience
Other automation frameworks: Selenium, Cypress, WebdriverIO
API testing tools: Postman, Insomnia, REST Assured
Test/defect management: Jira, TestRail, Zephyr, Azure DevOps
Scripting languages: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python
Database querying (SQL) for backend data validation
Performance testing exposure: JMeter, k6
Accessibility testing standards (WCAG)
Agile/Scrum experience
