Registered Nurse (RN) Wound Care Day Shift

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Wound Care team at Highfield Gardens Care Center of Great Neck, a sub-acute and long-term care facility dedicated to providing exceptional care and services to our patients. As an RN on our Wound Care team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to patients with complex wound conditions, working closely with our interdisciplinary team to promote healing, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our patients.

Registered Nurse (RN) Wound Care Responsibilities:

Assess, develop, and implement individualized wound care plans for patients with complex wound conditions

Provide direct patient care, including wound cleaning, dressing changes, and treatments

Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care

Educate patients and families on wound care techniques, self-care strategies, and prevention methods

Document patient progress, outcomes, and wound care activities in accordance with facility policies and regulations

Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest level of patient care and outcomes

Registered Nurse (RN) Wound Care Requirements:

Current RN license in the state of New York

Prior experience in wound care or related field

Strong knowledge of wound care principles, practices, and standards

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities

Strong attention to detail, with accuracy and precision in documentation and record-keeping
