Early Childhood Classroom Lead Educator

The Nassau BOCES Department of Regional Schools and Instructional Programs is seeking a Part-time Early Childhood Classroom Lead Educator to support the Nassau BOCES ParentChild+ Early Childhood Education program located in Great Neck, NY. This program promotes school readiness for children from underserved families. Classes are held on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings throughout the school year, with possible additional summer hours. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Attending weekly staff meetings

Preparing and submitting lesson plans

Maintaining attendance, assessment data, child progress, and other required records

Participating on the Child Study Team

Coordinating events and activities related to the program

Supervising staff while creating a warm, patient, and flexible environment for young children

REQUIREMENTS:

At least 18 credits of college-level coursework in Early Childhood Education

Minimum of three years of experience in an early childhood classroom

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with young children

Bilingual Spanish preferred
