Position Overview
A growing vending operation in Monmouth County, NJ is seeking a reliable and self-directed Vending Machine Route Driver to service vending machine locations throughout an established route.
The Route Driver will be responsible for keeping machines properly stocked, clean, organized, and operating smoothly. This is a part-time position to start, with the opportunity for additional routes, hours, and responsibilities as the business grows.
Key Responsibilities
Travel to vending machine locations according to an established route and schedule.
Restock snacks, beverages, and other products as needed.
Rotate inventory and maintain appropriate stock levels.
Check machines for cleanliness, damage, or mechanical issues.
Address basic issues when appropriate and promptly report problems requiring additional service.
Collect and reconcile cash and/or sales information when applicable.
Track product inventory and communicate low-stock or reorder needs.
Keep vending machines and surrounding areas clean and presentable.
Load, transport, and organize products efficiently.
Maintain accurate records of route stops, inventory, and servicing.
Manage assigned routes independently and efficiently.
Communicate professionally with clients and contacts at vending locations.
Complete scheduled route responsibilities consistently and on time.
Qualifications
Valid driver's license required.
Reliable personal vehicle required.
Safe and responsible driving habits.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
Dependable, trustworthy, and responsible.
Punctual with consistent attendance.
Strong basic organizational and time-management skills.
Professional when interacting with clients and location staff.
Ability to keep track of inventory, products, and route stops.
Previous experience in vending, delivery, route driving, retail stocking, merchandising, or similar work is a plus but not required.
