DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
OPERATIONAL LEADERSHIP
Oversee the day-to-day operations and performance of The Living Room, Tree of Life, and Saxony Bar, ensuring each venue consistently operates in accordance with Faena service, operational, safety, and brand standards.
Maintain a highly visible and engaged leadership presence throughout the venues, particularly during peak periods, entertainment programming, special events, and high-volume nights.
Ensure each venue is properly prepared, staffed, organized, and positioned for successful service based on anticipated business levels, reservations, VIPs, programming, and special events.
Establish clear operational expectations and ensure consistent execution of opening, service, transition, and closing procedures.
Conduct regular walkthroughs and inspections of all assigned venues to ensure cleanliness, organization, ambiance, equipment functionality, safety, and overall presentation.
Ensure lighting, music, temperature, cleanliness, furniture placement, bar presentation, and other elements of the guest environment support the intended atmosphere and experience of each venue.
Proactively identify operational challenges and implement effective solutions to improve service, efficiency, profitability, and the guest experience.
Develop, maintain, and enforce departmental policies, Standard Operating Procedures, service sequences, and operating standards.
Partner effectively with Culinary, Stewarding, Security, Engineering, Housekeeping, Front Office, Reservations, Entertainment, Marketing, Finance, Purchasing, and other departments to ensure seamless venue operations.
GUEST EXPERIENCE & NIGHTLIFE PRESENCE
Serve as a visible ambassador of Faena nightlife, building meaningful relationships with guests while cultivating an environment that is welcoming, sophisticated, energetic, and reflective of the Faena brand.
Ensure consistent delivery of personalized, anticipatory service and reinforce guest recognition throughout all assigned venues.
Maintain awareness of reservations, VIP guests, repeat guests, special occasions, high-profile visitors, and other relevant guest information.
Actively engage with guests throughout service to assess satisfaction, anticipate needs, and identify opportunities to elevate the experience.
Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally, exercising sound judgment and appropriate service recovery while protecting the guest relationship and the Faena brand.
Monitor the atmosphere, pace, energy, guest flow, seating, and overall experience within each venue and make real-time operational adjustments as necessary.
Develop relationships with repeat and local clientele to support guest loyalty and continued venue engagement.
TEAM LEADERSHIP & DEVELOPMENT
Lead, motivate, coach, and develop the nightlife team, creating a culture of accountability, professionalism, collaboration, and exceptional hospitality.
Provide direct leadership and development to Floor Supervisors and other members of the nightlife leadership team, establishing clear expectations for their respective areas of responsibility.
Participate in recruitment, interviewing, selection, onboarding, training, development, and retention of qualified team members.
Ensure team members receive comprehensive training regarding Faena culture, service standards, beverage knowledge, venue concepts, guest engagement, safety requirements, and departmental procedures.
Conduct pre-shift meetings and leadership briefings to communicate business levels, reservations, VIPs, entertainment, events, menu changes, operational priorities, and service expectations.
Establish clear performance expectations and provide ongoing coaching, recognition, feedback, and corrective action when appropriate.
Conduct performance evaluations and participate in compensation and development discussions in accordance with Company practices.
Address employee relations matters appropriately and in partnership with Human Resources.
Monitor scheduling and staffing levels to ensure appropriate coverage while effectively managing labor costs and operational requirements.
Promote cross-training and collaboration across The Living Room, Tree of Life, and Saxony Bar to create a flexible and knowledgeable nightlife team.
BEVERAGE PROGRAM & INVENTORY MANAGEMENT
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of beverage offerings, including spirits, cocktails, wines, champagnes, non-alcoholic offerings, pricing, preparation, presentation, and service standards.
Partner with Food & Beverage leadership to continuously evaluate and enhance beverage offerings based on guest preferences, brand positioning, industry trends, operational performance, and profitability.
Establish and maintain appropriate par levels for wine, spirits, and other beverage products across assigned venues.
Oversee beverage purchasing, receiving, storage, issuance, transfers, and inventory controls.
Partner closely with Purchasing and the F&B Buyer regarding ordering, product availability, vendor relationships, pricing opportunities, and strategic purchases.
Ensure monthly beverage inventories are completed accurately and timely and that results are reviewed and reported in accordance with Finance requirements.
Monitor beverage costs against established goals and promptly investigate and address unfavorable variances.
Conduct and/or oversee beverage control audits, including pour testing, measurements, product controls, transfers, breakage, waste, and other loss-prevention measures.
Ensure responsible alcohol service standards and applicable food and beverage regulations are consistently followed.
FINANCIAL & BUSINESS PERFORMANCE
Assume accountability for the financial and operational performance of assigned nightlife venues.
Participate in the development and management of annual operating budgets, forecasts, revenue goals, labor plans, and expense targets.
Review and interpret financial and operational reports, including revenue, beverage cost, labor cost, average check, covers, product mix, expenses, and other key performance indicators.
Analyze actual performance against budget, forecast, and prior-year results and develop appropriate action plans to address variances.
Identify opportunities to increase revenue, improve profitability, manage expenses, and optimize venue performance without compromising the guest experience.
Monitor labor productivity and scheduling in relation to business volumes and financial targets.
Ensure revenues and expenses are appropriately recorded and promptly investigate discrepancies.
Maintain strong controls surrounding complimentary items, discounts, voids, spills, breakage, transfers, and other areas affecting revenue or beverage cost.
ENTERTAINMENT, PROGRAMMING & BRAND EXPERIENCE
Support the successful execution of live entertainment, DJs, special events, activations, holiday programming, sporting events, and other nightlife experiences across assigned venues.
Collaborate with Entertainment, Marketing, Public Relations, Food & Beverage leadership, and other stakeholders to support programming that strengthens the identity and commercial performance of Faena nightlife.
Ensure operational readiness for entertainment and special programming, including staffing, floor plans, guest flow, reservations, security, beverage service, and interdepartmental coordination.
Provide operational insight and recommendations regarding promotions, activations, programming, and opportunities to enhance venue awareness and guest engagement.
Remain knowledgeable of relevant nightlife, beverage, hospitality, and entertainment trends and identify opportunities appropriate for the Faena brand.
COMMUNICATION & ADMINISTRATION
Maintain consistent communication with Food & Beverage leadership regarding business performance, guest feedback, staffing, team performance, operational concerns, upcoming events, and opportunities for improvement.
Ensure required departmental paperwork, reports, inventories, schedules, checklists, and administrative responsibilities are completed accurately and timely.
Review daily business levels, reservations, revenue performance, incidents, guest feedback, and operational notes and ensure appropriate follow-up.
Document and escalate significant guest, employee, safety, security, or operational incidents in accordance with Company procedures.
Participate in Food & Beverage and hotel leadership meetings as required.
Perform additional job-related responsibilities as assigned by management.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of three (3) years of progressive Food & Beverage leadership experience, preferably within luxury hospitality, nightlife, upscale bar/lounge, or high-volume multi-outlet operations.
Demonstrated experience leading sophisticated beverage and nightlife operations with responsibility for guest experience, team performance, financial results, and cost controls.
Strong knowledge of spirits, cocktails, wine, champagne, beverage service, inventory management, and beverage cost controls.
Experience managing high-volume operations, live entertainment, nightlife programming, VIP clientele, and special events strongly preferred.
Proven ability to lead, develop, coach, and hold teams accountable while maintaining a positive and professional work environment.
Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to understand budgets, forecasts, P&L statements, labor costs, beverage costs, and operational performance indicators.
Exceptional guest relations, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to exercise sound judgment and remain composed in a fast-paced, high-profile environment.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to simultaneously oversee multiple venues and competing operational priorities.
Knowledge of applicable food safety, responsible alcohol service, workplace safety, and Company policies and procedures.
Food Safety certification or ability to obtain certification as required.
Flexible availability, including evenings, late nights, weekends, holidays, and special events, based on operational requirements.
PHYSICAL ABILITIES
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the working day.
Ability to continuously move between multiple indoor and outdoor venues during assigned shifts.
Ability to safely navigate crowded, uneven, dimly lit, outdoor, or confined spaces.
