Teacher Assistant - Early Childhood Center, Katz JCC at Samost Jewish Family and Children's Service of Southern New Jersey

The Sari Isdaner Early Childhood Center, located at the Katz JCC in Cherry Hill, is an award-winning provider of early childhood education in South Jersey for over 50 years, serving ages 6 weeks through 6 years. We are hiring Assistant Teachers to assist the Head Teacher with all areas of the classroom's needs and to create a safe, nurturing environment. Responsibilities: • Help administer curriculum and keep the classroom attractive and in good order • Ensure lunch and snack needs are accommodated and interact positively with children • Maintain daily journal record keeping via Tadpoles and interact daily with parents • Attend staff meetings and professional development; must be able to lift children up to 40 pounds Qualifications: • High school graduate; at least two years of college preferred • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in cross-functional teams Salary: $17.00 per hour (range $17.00–$20.00). Hours are Monday–Friday (flexibility a plus).
