Job description
A typical day for a Certified Medical Assistant may include:
Preparing patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs, documenting medical histories, and ensuring they feel comfortable and informed throughout their visit
Assisting physicians and advanced practice providers during examinations and procedures, anticipating clinical needs to support efficient, high-quality care
Performing clinical tasks such as administering injections, collecting specimens, conducting point-of-care testing, and completing other duties within the scope of practice
Accurately documenting patient information, test results, and provider instructions within the electronic medical record to support continuity of care
Coordinating patient flow by preparing exam rooms, maintaining supplies, and helping ensure appointments run efficiently
Providing clear, compassionate education to patients regarding medications, treatment plans, follow-up appointments, and preventive care
Scheduling appointments, processing referrals, and collaborating with the care team to support seamless patient experiences
Contributing to a collaborative team environment where professionalism, communication, and patient-centered care are shared priorities

This position offers a consistent Monday - Thursday: 11:00am - 7:30pm and Friday: 9:00am - 5:30pm, allowing you to build strong patient relationships while maintaining a work-life balance.
You must hold a current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential (AAMA, AECA, AMCA, AMT, NAHP, NCCT, NCMA, or NHA) and a current American Heart Association BLS certification.
A minimum of 6 months CMA experience is required and electronic medical record (EMR) systems, Epic, knowledge is preferred.
