Job description

Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Executive Producer to join our production team and help lead the execution of ambitious, creatively driven work across a wide range of formats.

This is a hands-on production leadership role for someone who understands how to take a creative idea from concept through execution. The ideal candidate has strong line production experience, a deep understanding of the advertising production ecosystem, and the ability to quickly build the right production team—whether leveraging our internal studio or partnering with an outside production company.

You should be equally comfortable in a creative development meeting, building a bid, scouting vendors, negotiating with production partners, or being on set solving problems. You will work closely with our account, creative, and production teams to ensure that work is creatively excellent, financially responsible, and executed at the highest level.
Responsibilities
Lead Production from Bid Through Delivery

Partner with account and creative teams to understand the creative ambition, scope, budget, timeline, and production requirements of each project.
Determine the appropriate production model for each job, including when to leverage our internal studio versus an outside production partner.
“Stand up” productions from the ground up, identifying and assembling the right production company, crew, vendors, stages, locations, equipment, and other resources.
Build and manage production budgets, bids, schedules, estimates, and production plans.
Evaluate production partners and vendors, negotiate rates, and ensure the best combination of creative quality, efficiency, and value.
Provide senior-level production guidance throughout pre-production, production, post-production, and delivery.
Anticipate production challenges and proactively develop solutions.
Maintain a deep and current network of trusted production companies, directors, crew, vendors, stages, locations, rental houses, post-production partners, and other production resources in NYC and markets around the country.
Know who to call (and quickly) when a project requires a specific skill set, location, crew, stage, or production solution.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with external production partners while ensuring they complement and extend our internal capabilities.
Identify new production partners, technologies, vendors, and production approaches that can make our work better, faster, or more efficient.
Work closely with account teams to scope projects, develop budgets, establish timelines, and determine the appropriate production approach.
Help account teams confidently navigate production conversations with clients.
Participate in creative development and provide production perspective early enough to influence the work—not simply execute against it.
Help translate creative ambition into realistic production plans without unnecessarily limiting the creative.
Serve as a senior production resource for the agency and a trusted partner to clients when appropriate.

Produce Across Formats

We are looking for someone with broad production experience who can move fluidly between different types of work, including:

Broadcast and digital commercials
Social and creator-led content
Episodic and series-based content
Branded entertainment
Sizzle reels and presentations
Photography and integrated photo/video productions
Experiential and pop-up events
Live or hybrid productions
Fast-turn and highly reactive content
Emerging and technology-enabled production formats

Qualifications
8+ years of production experience, ideally within an advertising agency, production company, or both.
Strong line production and physical production experience with the ability to independently stand up and manage complex productions.
Demonstrated experience producing a broad range of content, from national broadcast commercials to social, episodic, branded, and experiential work.
A substantial network of trusted production companies, crew, vendors, stages, locations, rental houses, and post partners, particularly in NYC and other major production markets.
Strong understanding of commercial production budgets, bidding, scheduling, staffing, union considerations, insurance, locations, permits, post-production, and production logistics.
Excellent judgment around selecting the right production model and partners for a given project.
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced agency environment.
Comfortable working with senior agency leadership, clients, creatives, account teams, production partners, and crew.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
A solutions-oriented mindset and the ability to remain calm and decisive when things inevitably change.
Strong creative instincts and an understanding of what it takes to protect the creative idea through production.
