Position Summary
The Talent Acquisition Specialist at Marmic Fire and Safety is responsible for researching, developing, and implementing effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent. This role involves managing the end-to-end recruitment process, from sourcing candidates to onboarding new hires, while ensuring compliance with all employment laws and company policies. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in talent acquisition, excellent communication skills, and the ability to develop innovative recruiting strategies.
Core Responsibilities
Recruitment Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates from multiple sources, including direct sourcing, competitive information, websites, referrals, job fairs, advertising, networking, and internal candidate pools. Collaborate with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria. Identify and implement efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and organizational needs.
Candidate Sourcing and Engagement: Utilize a variety of methods to source candidates, including job boards, social media platforms, professional networks, and internal referrals. Engage with passive candidates and build a talent pipeline for current and future hiring needs. Screen applications and select qualified candidates based on job requirements and organizational fit.
Selection and Hiring: Schedule and conduct interviews, overseeing the preparation of interview questions and other hiring materials. Assist with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders as needed. Collaborate with hiring managers and HR staff during the offer process, recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations throughout the recruitment process.
Onboarding and Integration: Partner with the HR team to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new hires, including pre-employment paperwork, orientation, and training coordination. Provide guidance and support to new employees during the onboarding process to facilitate their integration into the company.
Reporting and Metrics: Track and analyze recruitment metrics, such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and candidate quality, to evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment efforts. Prepare and present regular reports on recruitment activities, trends, and outcomes to HR management.
Employer Branding and Market Research: Promote Marmic Fire and Safety’s employer brand to attract top talent and enhance the company’s reputation as an employer of choice. Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor practices to ensure competitive positioning in the talent market.
Compliance and Best Practices: Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies. Implement and adhere to best practices in recruitment and talent acquisition to continuously improve processes and outcomes.
Administrative Duties: Assist with job posting and advertisement processes. Perform other duties as assigned by the HR Manager or senior leadership.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with effective negotiation tactics.
Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for a variety of roles.
Proactive and independent, with the ability to take initiative.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Familiarity with employment laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
At least 2 years of experience managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process is highly preferred.
Experience with HR software and systems, including applicant tracking and onboarding platforms.
Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
Familiarity with recruitment and staffing best practices.
