Job description
About the Role
We're a ~25-person SaaS company building volunteer management software that powers nonprofits, governments, corporations, schools, healthcare institutions, faith groups, and disaster relief organizers. The breadth of who we serve is part of what makes this work interesting — and meaningful. Technology, and increasingly AI, is a force multiplier for the kind of community impact our customers create, and we take that seriously.
Our engineering team is small and highly collaborative — everyone owns meaningful work, and the decisions you make will have real impact on the product and the people who use it.
We're looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer who is comfortable across the stack, has strong product instincts, and can work with a high degree of autonomy. You'll be working on a mature codebase with real integration complexity — Salesforce, Blackbaud, Virtuous, Snowflake, and others — and shipping features that matter to the coordinators and volunteers who depend on our platform every day.
What You'll Do
Build and maintain features across the full stack — React on the front end, Node.js on the back end, deployed on AWS
Work across multiple product surfaces: web dashboards for organizers, responsive web portals and React Native mobile apps for participants
Design and implement integrations with CRM, fundraising, and data platforms that our customers rely on
Participate actively in shaping technical decisions — architecture, tooling, code quality standards — not just execute them
Collaborate closely with product and design in a lean environment where engineers often need to fill in gaps and exercise judgment
Write code that's tested, readable, and something your teammates will be glad to work in
Mentor and support less experienced engineers on the team
Help improve engineering practices over time — you'll have opinions and we want to hear them
Our Stack
Frontend: React, React Native (iOS & Android)
Backend: Node.js, MongoDB, Parse
Infrastructure: AWS, Azure
Integrations: Salesforce, Blackbaud RE/NXT, Virtuous, Snowflake
Tools: GitHub, Monday.com
What We're Looking For
5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with meaningful time on both front-end and back-end work with relevant stack
Experience designing and building third-party integrations, ideally with CRM or SaaS platforms
Strong enough product judgment to push back on a requirement that doesn't make sense or ask the question nobody asked
You've worked in a small team before and know what it means to own something end-to-end
Actively curious about how AI is changing software development — you're experimenting with it in your workflow, not waiting to see how it shakes out
Clear communicator — written and verbal — because async collaboration is a real part of how we work
Nice to Have
Experience with React Native or mobile development
Familiarity with nonprofit or social sector software
Experience with data warehouse integrations (Snowflake or similar)
What We Offer
Equity: Every employee receives stock options — we believe in sharing in the success we build together
Remote-first: We hire across the US and trust you to work in the way that brings out your best
Unlimited vacation policy
Health, vision, and dental insurance, company-subsidized
