The Opportunity
At Alera Group, our Employee Benefits team helps organizations attract, retain, and support their employees through innovative benefits solutions. As a Senior Client Executive, you'll play an important role in delivering exceptional client service, building trusted relationships, and helping clients navigate the complexities of employee benefits.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as the senior strategic advisor for enterprise clients, aligning benefits strategies, renewal outcomes, coverage structures, and service solutions with client business objectives
Lead client planning, renewal strategy, stewardship meetings, executive reviews, and ongoing relationship management while overseeing the delivery of exceptional client service
Partner with producers, consultants, carriers, vendors, and internal specialists to develop customized solutions that address compliance, plan design, population health, claims advocacy, and workforce needs
Drive client retention, identify growth opportunities, support business development initiatives, and participate in finalist presentations for prospective clients
Provide leadership on complex client issues, coordinate internal resources, and ensure client lifecycle activities are executed effectively and efficiently
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications
Active Life, Health, and Accident Insurance License required
7+ years of experience in employee benefits consulting, brokerage, client management, or a related field
Expert-level client account management and relationship development skills
Demonstrated ability to serve as a trusted advisor to executive leaders and key decision-makers
Strong strategic consulting, communication, presentation, and problem-solving abilities
Experience managing large, complex, or enterprise-level client relationships
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and employee benefits technology platforms
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience developing employee benefits strategies for complex organizations
Knowledge of plan design, compliance, population health, carrier markets, and vendor management
Professional designations such as CEBS, RHU, REBC, GBA, CBP, CHRS, or similar
Experience leading cross-functional service teams and mentoring colleagues
Proven success supporting client retention and business growth initiatives
