A family in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a caring, reliable, and responsible Babysitter/Nanny to provide attentive care for their 6-week-old infant.

The ideal candidate is comfortable caring for a newborn and can provide hands-on support with feeding routines, bathing, naps, developmental activities, and other daily needs. Light meal preparation assistance would also be appreciated.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide attentive and nurturing care for a 6-week-old infant.
• Assist with bathing and general newborn care.
• Take the baby for walks as appropriate.
• Provide supervised, age-appropriate tummy time.
• Follow the baby's established feeding and nap routines.
• Maintain a daily log of feedings, diaper changes, naps, and other important information.
• Change diapers and keep the baby clean and comfortable.
• Help soothe and settle the baby for naps.
• Engage in appropriate interaction and developmental activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for the baby.
• Clean and organize bottles and baby-related items as needed.
• Assist with light meal preparation when time allows.
• Communicate clearly with parents regarding the baby's day, routines, and any concerns.

Qualifications

• Previous newborn or infant childcare experience strongly preferred.
• Comfortable caring for a 6-week-old baby.
• Knowledge of basic newborn routines and safety.
• Caring, patient, attentive, and dependable.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to follow the family's routines and instructions.
