Custodian- Distribution Center

Responsibilities:

Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout assigned office, restroom, breakroom, common, and warehouse areas
Empty and remove trash from designated areas and transport waste to designated disposal locations.
Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors
Clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors, fixtures, partitions, and floors
Clean and disinfect breakroom surfaces, including tables, counters, sinks, and appliances
Clean walls, baseboards, vents, fixtures, and other accessible surfaces
Restock restroom and breakroom paper products and soap
Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in a safe and orderly manner
Properly handle and store cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines
Wear and maintain required PPE at all times while performing duties
Follow all safety procedures when working around employees, equipment, and warehouse operations, including pedestrian safety zones and equipment right-of-way rules in areas with forklift or material handling traffic
Report spills, hazards, maintenance needs, or sanitation concerns to leadership
Adjust cleaning priorities as needed based on facility and business needs
Perform other duties and tasks as assigned to support facility and operational needs

Qualifications:

At least 1+ years of previous custodial, porter, janitorial, housekeeping, or related experience preferred
Ability to perform routine cleaning and sanitation tasks independently
Strong attention to cleanliness and detail
Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for extended periods, up to 8 hours per shift
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull cleaning supplies, trash receptacles, and equipment up to 40 lbs.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment
Must be detail oriented

Work Environment:

Work is performed in office/breakroom settings and in warehouse areas that may involve exposure to temperature variation, noise, dust, and proximity to forklifts and other material handling equipment. Appropriate PPE will be provided and required in designated areas.
