Job description

Key Responsibilities:

Food Preparation & Service: Assist in the preparation and serving of meals to residents in the dining room or their individual rooms.
Cleanliness & Sanitation: Ensure all food preparation areas are kept clean and sanitized according to health and safety standards.
Dining Area Maintenance: Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, and other dining areas after meals.
Stocking & Inventory: Receive and organize food deliveries from vendors, ensuring proper storage in the pantry, refrigerator, or freezer.
Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety procedures, including safe food handling and sanitation practices during food preparation and storage.
Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the dietary supervisor or facility management.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare or senior care setting, is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to work per diem shifts during weekdays and weekends.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry food items and supplies up to 25 lbs.
Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods during shifts.
