What You'll Do
Psychiatric Assessment & Treatment
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and ongoing assessments
Diagnose behavioral health conditions using DSM-5-TR criteria
Develop individualized treatment plans
Prescribe, manage, and monitor psychiatric medications
Conduct risk assessments and crisis evaluations when clinically indicated
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Patient Education & Support
Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, and treatment options
Support patient engagement and treatment adherence
Provide therapeutic interventions within scope of practice
Collaboration & Care Coordination
Collaborate with therapists, social workers, primary care providers, and other members of the treatment team
Participate in case consultations and treatment planning discussions
Coordinate referrals and support continuity of care
Documentation & Compliance
Complete timely and accurate documentation within the EMR
Follow organizational policies, clinical standards, and applicable regulations
Maintain compliance with HIPAA and professional practice standards
Qualifications
Required
Master's or Doctoral Degree from an accredited Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program
Active New York State RN License
Active New York State Nurse Practitioner License
Board Certification as a PMHNP-BC
Active DEA Registration with prescriptive authority
Preferred
Experience in outpatient behavioral health settings
Telehealth experience
Experience serving diverse patient populations
Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply, especially those fluent in Spanish and Russian

Hybrid (Telehealth + In-Person)
Primary service area: Brooklyn, NY
Opportunities available throughout New York City
In-person services are primarily provided at partner adult day care centers, community-based programs, and patient-serving locations
Half-day and full-day onsite clinical sessions available
Telehealth services may comprise a significant portion of your schedule
Flexible scheduling options available
