Position Overview
A new and growing preschool in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a warm, energetic, and responsible Head Teacher to lead a classroom of 3-year-old children.
We are looking for someone who truly loves working with young children and is excited about creating a nurturing, engaging, and positive classroom environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator who wants to play an important role in helping build and develop a wonderful new preschool program.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the daily classroom experience for a class of 3-year-old children.
- Create a loving, safe, structured, and happy classroom environment.
- Plan and lead age-appropriate lessons, activities, crafts, and learning experiences.
- Lead circle time, songs, stories, games, and interactive activities.
- Teach basic preschool skills, routines, and classroom expectations.
- Encourage children's social, emotional, cognitive, and developmental growth.
- Help children develop independence and positive classroom habits.
- Provide patient and attentive support to each child's individual needs.
- Maintain an organized, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom.
- Communicate warmly and professionally with parents regarding their children's experiences and progress.
- Work closely with classroom assistants and provide appropriate guidance and direction.
- Collaborate with preschool administration on curriculum, programming, and classroom needs.
- Help plan special activities, projects, and classroom events.
- Maintain a positive attitude and bring creativity and enthusiasm into the classroom each day.
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children preferred.
- Head teacher, preschool teacher, early childhood, daycare, or similar classroom experience is a plus.
- Genuine love for working with young children.
