Job description

Under the supervision of the Campus Director, the Program Coordinator will

Provide individualized guidance and counseling, and case management services; enter participant case notes and track progress, including services received.

Assist and guide high school students with their academic, financial, and/or professional short- and long-term goals.

Act as a liaison between CPC and worksites / industry partners + Develop new partnerships with a variety of sectors and industries.

Co-Plan and facilitate social-emotional learning, interactive projects-based learning, career- readiness, college readiness, and basic life-skills workshops relating to holistic youth development.

Coordinate the scheduling of guest speakers, community service opportunities, and field trips (e.g., college visits, recreational activities) within program guidelines.

Maintain participant files/programmatic documents and track attendance, progress, and outcomes.

Assist with recruitment, enrollment, and retention of program participants.

Provide support in overseeing homework help and tutoring services; knowledge of high school level English, Math, Science, and/or History subjects are a plus.

Refer CPC’s direct services and resources to youth and families.

Attend meetings and professional development trainings as required by CPC and NYC DYCD, including Family Development Coach certification training .

Collaborate with SYEP/WLG programs during the school year/summer and support as needed .

Fulfill other related duties as outlined by the Campus Director .

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Social Work, Counseling or related field.

A minimum of 2 years’ experience working within the fields of youth and/or workforce

Development.

Must be culturally competent and provide services in manner sensitive to participants’ cultural.

heritage and traditions, life experience, sexual orientation and gender identity.

Excellent written, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Strong work ethic and demonstrated passion for working with immigrant and low-income communities, and youth development.

Knowledge of MS office applications, especially Excel, and virtual platforms such as Zoom, Teams, and Webex.

Working knowledge of Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud applications are a plus.

Willingness to travel to worksites via public transportation.

Bilingual; fluency in English and any of the following languages Arabic/Chinese/Spanish.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS OVERVIEW

$27.48 to $30.22 per hour (equivalent annual salary of $50K to $55K); 35 hours per week.
