Job description
The Senior Global Sourcing Manager is responsible for gathering, managing and accomplishing the requirements needed to support program and project objectives from a sourcing and procurement perspective. This role partners cross-functionally on the front- and back-end of the procurement cycle, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality materials. Particular focus is placed on cost efficiency, supplier performance and operational excellence. It is equal parts internal and external, and the Sr. GSM is first point of escalation for all things related to the commodities assigned.
The day-to-day
Partner with internal customers to ensure sourcing strategies are aligned with program objectives
Support growth planning and scalability throughout the supply chain
Ensure early and active involvement with the supply base
Provide analytics and insight to the internal customer/team
Partner with Planning to analyze historical and forecasted spend
Maintain day-to-day and strategic supplier and internal customer relationships as the lead point of contact
Issue RFP's, negotiate, evaluate and implement contract agreements and purchase orders
Faciliate supplier business reviews and maintain strategic relationships
What you'll need
10+ years' directly applicable Supply Chain experience
Experience with contract management, project management, and supplier relationship management
Proven experience with detailed data analysis leading to strategic sourcing recommendations and decisions
Strategic sourcing skills: SOW Development, Request for Quote/Proposal/Information, Total Cost of Ownership analysis and Supplier Relationship Management
Experience with negotiating supplier agreements and knowledge of Terms and Conditions
Self-starter with the ability to adapt, improve processes, and find solutions
Must have excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation skills
Ability to influence all levels of internal collaborators
M/S Office and Major ERP system knowledge, including web-based supplier interface
Bachelor's degree with focus in Operations, Supply Chain, or related experience
US Gov't position. US citizenship required
Ability to travel up to 25 percent
