How This Role Works:

Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.
This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Monitor access to the shelter location, verify authorized entry, maintain visitor records as required, and report unauthorized access or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior common areas, building entrances, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter prohibited activity and identify maintenance or security-related concerns.
Respond to incidents, resident concerns, medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify supervisors and emergency services when appropriate.
Prepare accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant information during shift changes.
Minimum Requirements:

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
