Job description
The Role
This is a hands-on engineering role where you’ll own the front end end-to-end. We’re a small team, which means you’ll have significant ownership and direct impact on the product from day one. You’ll ship interfaces that real customers at major institutions rely on daily.
We’re looking for someone with strong product instincts who cares about how things look and feel, can turn dense real-time equipment data into interfaces people understand at a glance, and uses modern tools, including AI-assisted development, to move fast and ship quality work.
What You’ll Do
• Build and own features in our React dashboard, from component design through production deployment.
• Design interfaces that make real-time equipment data, availability metrics, and fault history readable at a glance.
• Build data visualizations and reporting views that customers use for maintenance planning and vendor accountability.
• Work closely with backend engineers to shape the APIs your views depend on.
• Own front-end performance, responsiveness, and cross-browser behavior as our device fleet scales.
• Participate in code reviews and production deployments via GitHub, and use AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude, Copilot) effectively.
What You’ll Bring
• 2+ years of professional front-end engineering experience building and shipping production web applications.
• Strong proficiency in React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript, including state management and component architecture.
• Solid CSS and layout skills, with an eye for clean, functional design.
• Experience consuming REST APIs and working with real-time or frequently updating data.
• Comfortable with Git/GitHub workflows, CI/CD, and production deployments.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of features from design through delivery.
Bonus: Experience with data visualization libraries (D3, Recharts, or similar), design tools like Figma, dashboard-heavy or IoT products, or light backend work in Node or Python.
