Job description

What You'll Do

Build and Own the Intake-to-PO Lifecycle: Design, maintain, and launch our intake-to-procure process, including intake triage, approval matrices, vendor onboarding, PO creation, and fast-buy paths like P-card programs, catalogues, and self-service purchasing. Then run it day to day, identifying bottlenecks and driving issues to resolution with minimal oversight across the business, Finance, Legal, Security, and IT.

Enhance Procurement with AI: Identify where AI agents, automation, and modern tooling can improve the current process, then build, deploy, and iterate. Verify AI output with rigour: anticipate failure modes, build in checks, and set the standard for how the team distinguishes trustworthy output from unreliable work.

Partner with Accounts Payable: Support vendor master data quality and PO accuracy, and troubleshoot disputes upstream before they become an AP problem.

Be the Subject-Matter Expert: Give clear, responsive guidance to internal teams and vendors on procurement tools, policy, and compliance. Exercise sound business judgement on exceptions instead of escalating every one.

Own Reporting and Analytics: Build the dashboards and reports that track procurement performance, surface trends and anomalies, and translate spend data into a clear narrative for leadership and budget owners.

Keep Vendor Reviews Moving: Coordinate security, privacy, and legal diligence with the relevant teams so purchases clear review on a timeline people can plan around, without procurement becoming the bottleneck.

Lead Cross-Functional Change Management: Drive adoption of new processes and tooling, represent Procurement in cross-functional initiatives, and fold acquired companies' vendors and contracts into one system. Partner with global teams on local vendors, entities, currencies, and tax.

Build the Enablement Layer: Make the process self-serve. Write the playbooks, build a searchable internal library of policy, templates, and vendor guidance, and record short how-to videos so teams can buy correctly without asking you first.

What You Bring

3โ€“6 years of experience in procurement operations, intake-to-PO processes, or an analytically rigorous operations role at a high-growth tech company.

Direct experience building procurement processes from zero: intake, approval matrices, and vendor onboarding, not just operating within one that already exists.

Deep familiarity with procurement and P2P tooling (Ramp, Ironclad, Zip, NetSuite, or similar) and a bias toward automation over manual work.

Comfort building with and evaluating AI tools and agents, with the rigour to verify their output rather than take it at face value.

Working knowledge of AP and payment processes, so you can hand off cleanly to AP and troubleshoot upstream issues before they become AP's problem.

Strong business judgement: you're comfortable resolving exceptions, managing ambiguity, and making calls without a rulebook already written for you.

A builder's mindset: you'd rather design the scalable system than repeatedly patch the same manual process.

Excellent stakeholder communication: you can explain policy and process clearly to both internal teams and vendors, and you give and take direct feedback without ego.

Nice to Have

First or early procurement hire at a company scaling headcount and vendor count fast.

Vendor security review fluency: SOC 2, ISO 27001, and DPAs, and a view on which parts actually matter.

Multi-entity, multi-currency procurement across the US, EMEA, and APAC.

End-to-end implementation of a procurement, CLM, or spend platform.
