Job description

Areas of Clinical Focus

Benign gynecologic conditions
Abnormal uterine bleeding
Pelvic pain evaluation and management
Menopausal and postmenopausal care
Cervical dysplasia and abnormal screening follow-up
Ovarian cysts and other benign adnexal conditions
Gynecologic cancer survivorship
Long-term surveillance following treatment for gynecologic malignancies
Women's health education and preventive care
Care coordination across the oncology continuum
Job Duties Include (but are not limited to):

Conduct outpatient clinic visits independently and alongside faculty, including new patient consultations, follow-up visits, survivorship appointments, and ongoing management of benign gynecologic conditions
Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a wide variety of benign gynecologic disorders using evidence-based practice
Provide comprehensive survivorship care for patients following treatment for gynecologic cancers, including surveillance, symptom management, and coordination of long-term follow-up
Perform gynecologic examinations and office-based procedures within scope of practice, including endometrial biopsy, cervical biopsies, colposcopy assistance, pessary management, and other minor procedures as appropriate
Review and interpret laboratory results, pathology, imaging, and diagnostic studies to guide patient care decisions
Coordinate multidisciplinary care with gynecologic oncology, medical oncology, radiation oncology, primary care, genetics, rehabilitation services, social work, and nursing teams
Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, survivorship recommendations, preventive care, and health maintenance
Assist with preoperative and postoperative management of gynecologic surgery patients as needed
Participate in multidisciplinary discussions, quality improvement initiatives, education, research, and professional development opportunities
Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in gynecology, women's health, oncology, primary care, or surgical specialties preferred but not required
Experience evaluating and managing common gynecologic conditions preferred
Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic reasoning, and patient counseling skills
Ability to function effectively in an independent outpatient practice while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team
Strong communication and organizational skills

Required Qualifications

Education
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program or Masters OR Doctorate degree : Nursing (MSN or DNP)
Licenses and Certifications
MPA-LIC - PA Medical Physician Asst Lic
NCCPA - Certified Physician Assistant
OR
CRNP - PA Cert Reg Nurse Practitioner
·RN-LIC - PA Registered Nurse License
