Job description

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide classroom, laboratory, and hands-on instruction in collision repair and related subject areas.
Develop and deliver course content aligned with student learning outcomes and industry standards.
Prepare and maintain course syllabi, lesson plans, assessments, and instructional materials.
Facilitate lectures, demonstrations, discussions, and practical training exercises.
Evaluate student performance through examinations, projects, assignments, and skills assessments.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress.
Provide academic support, coaching, and mentoring to students during scheduled office hours.
Ensure instruction incorporates current industry practices, manufacturer repair procedures, and safety standards.
Utilize learning management systems and instructional technologies to enhance student learning.
Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development activities, and college committees.
Collaborate with Student Services, Academic Support, and the Office of Instruction to promote student success.
Maintain a safe learning environment and ensure compliance with all college policies and applicable safety regulations.
Support program recruitment, retention, and completion initiatives.
Stay current with emerging trends, technologies, certifications, and workforce needs within the collision repair industry.
Qualifications:

Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Collision Repair, Automotive Technology, Transportation Technology, or a closely related field.
Three (3) to four (4) years of professional work experience in the collision repair industry.
Current ASE Collision Repair Certification(s).
Current I-CAR Certification(s).
Demonstrated knowledge of:
Collision repair processes
Damage analysis
Automotive refinishing
Welding techniques
Vehicle construction
Estimating systems
Manufacturer repair procedures
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to utilize instructional technology and learning management systems such as Brightspace, D2L, or similar platform

The salary range for this position is $58,000 - $65,000.
