JOB SUMMARY
The Flower Packaging Lead reports directly to the Packaging Supervisor and is responsible for quality checks and overseeing a team of packaging associates. The Packaging Lead would be providing coaching and training to all new and existing packaging associates and to ensure the departments follow compliance with the company policy, laws and rules governed by the state.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Verify and maintain inventory levels, ensuring all teams have the required materials.
Accurately weigh, document, and record product lots for each packaging team.
Hold team members accountable for assigned tasks while promoting high performance and adherence to standards.
Collaborate with the Supervisor and/or Packaging Manager to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency.
OTHER JOB RESPONSIBILITES
Foster a cohesive, positive team environment that promotes morale and high performance.
Serve as the communication link between team members and upper management to ensure clarity and consistency.
Proactively address and resolve team or operational challenges in a timely and effective manner.
Coordinate team-building activities and recognize individual and group achievements.
Monitor and report team metrics related to productivity and quality to ensure goals are met.
Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Direct and delegate tasks to team members as needed to ensure all responsibilities are completed.
Continuously seek opportunities to improve team performance and workflow.
Provide daily activity and production updates to the Packaging Manager.
Effectively manage multiple tasks and adapt to shifting priorities and deadlines.
Maintain strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
Must be 21 years of age or older and be able to pass a background check
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) equivalent
6 months to 1 year experience in cannabis cultivation, packaging, or related production environment
PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS
6 months to 1 year experience in a leadership role
Strong team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Flexibility to take on additional duties as needed.
