Job description
About Mindshare: A Leading WPP Media Brand
This role is within Mindshare, a leading brand within WPP Media, where you will be instrumental in driving Good Growth for clients and all stakeholders through intentional media strategies.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized, resilient, and detail-oriented Media Investment Manager to oversee day-to-day media execution, trafficking, and custom publisher partnerships for one of our most dynamic and fast-paced CPG and Beauty portfolios.
This is not a traditional, siloed buying role. You will be the crucial bridge between strategic planning, technical campaign execution, and creative custom content. Furthermore, you will play a pivotal leadership role in coaching, mentoring, and upskilling two junior team members, shaping them into elite media professionals.
Skills and Experience
Bulletproof Execution: Oversee and execute end-to-end digital media buying across direct, programmatic, and social channels.
Trafficking & QA Lead: Take absolute ownership of the trafficking process, ad serving setup (CM360/DCM), tracking links, taxonomy, and data quality assurance. Ensure zero-error delivery before campaigns go live.
Pacing & Optimization: Manage multi-million-dollar campaign budgets, monitor daily pacing, and continuously optimize buys to maximize ROI and deliver on client KPIs.
Publisher Relations: Lead negotiations and maintain direct relationships with top-tier publishers, networks, and media vendors.
Sponsorships & Experiential: Collaborate with creative agencies and production teams to execute custom content integrations, influencer sponsorships, and high-impact experiential activations.
Coaching & Upskilling: Act as the direct mentor and day-to-day supervisor for two junior associates. Guide them through trafficking workflows, platform mechanics, and agency processes.
Accountability: Set clear operational standards for the junior team, QA their work, and help them manage their 50% split-allocation efficiently.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, business administration, and communications; OR equivalent professional work experience.
3+ years of hands-on media buying/investment experience within an agency environment (Direct, Programmatic, or Paid Social).
Flawless technical execution skills: Deep, hands-on experience with ad servers (CM360/DCM), trafficking workflows, custom tracking/UTM setup, and Prisma.
Demonstrated leadership aptitude: A strong desire to teach, coach, and elevate junior team members. Prior experience mentoring interns or junior associates is highly preferred.
High-velocity resilience: Exceptional organizational skills and mental agility required to manage a high-volume, multi-brand account without dropping the ball.
Ability to work in a team environment that promotes collaboration
Adept at communicating effectively across all levels
Be capable of working successfully within a team as well as independently
Strong quantitative and analytical/results-oriented skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multi-task, work successfully with teams, and work under pressure
