Playgroup Teacher Assistant

A warm and nurturing early childhood playgroup in Brooklyn is seeking a responsible, patient, and caring Playgroup Teacher Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the lead teacher to support daily activities, engage children in play, and maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
Teacher Support: Assist the lead teacher with classroom management, daily activities, and routine schedules.

Child Care & Engagement: Interact with children warmly, lead playtime activities, and keep children safely engaged.

Meal Preparation: Help prepare and serve daily lunches and snacks for the children.

Hygiene & Care: Assist with daily hygiene needs, including diaper changes as required.

Classroom Maintenance: Help maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary classroom environment.

Qualifications & Requirements
Patience & Compassion: Exceptionally patient, responsible, and genuinely loves working with young children.

Reliability: Strong work ethic, punctual, and dependable for daily 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM shifts.

Communication Skills: Ability to treat children with kindness and work effectively alongside lead teaching staff
