Preschool Support Teacher/After-School Teacher

Responsibilities:

Support classroom teachers with daily learning experiences, routines, transitions, and child supervision.
Foster safe, clean, organized, engaging, and inclusive indoor and outdoor learning environments.
Assist with classroom setup and cleanup.
Support children’s behavior and social-emotional development using positive guidance strategies.
Maintain active supervision of children and help ensure their health, safety, and well-being at all times.
Build warm, positive relationships with children, families, and fellow team members.
Adapt to the needs of different classrooms, age groups, and teaching teams.
Collaborate with lead teachers and school administrators and follow established classroom and program procedures.
Attend required school meetings and trainings, as well as occasional special events.

Qualifications:

High school diploma required; CDA, Associate’s degree, or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred
Experience working with young children in a preschool, school, child care, camp, or similar setting.
Completion of Florida’s required child care training (45 hours) and/or an active Florida Staff Credential is preferred
Patient, flexible, dependable, and nurturing approach to working with young children
Ability to collaborate and follow direction from lead teachers and school administrators
Ability to meet all applicable regulatory and licensing requirements, including completion of required training
Familiarity with Jewish traditions and holidays or a willingness to learn through study and participation in our school community
