Major Gifts Development Officer at Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ

The Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ seeks an enthusiastic, strategic, relationship-driven Major Gifts Development Officer to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward current and prospective major donors. A vital member of the Campaign Department, this role works closely with the Major Gifts Director and campaign colleagues to develop donor strategies and contribute to the growth of the more than $35 million raised annually for the Federation's Annual Campaign. Responsibilities: • Build, manage, and grow a portfolio of current and prospective major donors • Develop individualized cultivation plans, solicitation approaches, stewardship touchpoints, and upgrade opportunities • Conduct face-to-face, one-on-one cultivation and solicitation meetings, partnering with lay leaders • Proactively identify and research new prospects through donor data, community relationships, events, and referrals • Analyze giving patterns and engagement history to identify donors capable of increased or multi-year gifts • Partner with the Jewish Community Foundation on endowment, legacy, and long-term giving conversations • Maintain strong fundraising recordkeeping to document donor interactions and support moves management Qualifications: • Proven success in donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship — or comparable sales or relationship management work • Strong interest in major gifts fundraising, prospect development, and relationship-based fundraising • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, oral and written • Ability to think strategically about donors and manage multiple relationships at different stages of cultivation • Knowledge of the Greater MetroWest community helpful; Federation experience helpful but not essential • Excellent organization and technology skills, including database tools Salary: $65,000–$70,000 plus benefits. Full time, hybrid — in office Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
