Youth Basketball Coach at Shalom Austin

Shalom Austin seeks Youth Basketball Coaches for its year-round Basketball Skills Clinic, the Rising Stars Basketball League (grades 3-8, September through December, Sunday afternoons), and the Little Rookies Basketball League (grades K-2, January through March, Sunday afternoons). This is a part-time hourly position. Responsibilities: • Coach an assigned group of children, emphasizing skill development, safety, sportsmanship, and fun • Teach the rules of the game and basic strategies during weeks of game play • Lead drills focused on skill development during skills sessions • Manage substitutions and ensure equal playing time for all players regardless of score • Referee and keep score as assigned • Build positive relationships with participants and their families and act as a positive role model • Manage equipment and enforce safety regulations and emergency procedures **Pay:** $13.00 to $18.00 per hour.
