Job description

The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia supports a vibrant alliance of synagogues, community volunteers, and Jewish community organizations through its Federation in Your Neighborhood (FYN) initiative. The Community Engagement Manager oversees a portfolio of FYN congregations and Jewish agencies in Center City, the Old York Road Corridor, and the Northeast, reporting to the Director of Community Engagement and Governance. Responsibilities: • Build close relationships between Jewish Federation and the congregations and Jewish agencies in the assigned neighborhoods • Serve as liaison connecting Federation services — program grants, convenings, volunteer leadership development, the Life and Legacy endowment program, EITC, security, and marketing — to communal needs • Identify leadership needs and help recruit current and future leaders for leadership development programs • Maintain a pipeline of prospective donors among community members and organizational leaders not yet involved with Federation, coordinating with the fundraising department • Ensure a Federation presence at key congregational and agency events • Work with the marketing team to maintain a steady stream of communication to the neighborhoods Note: FYN serves Bucks County, Upper Montgomery County, Center City, Chester County, Delaware County, Lower Merion, the Northeast, and the Old York Road Corridor. This position sits within the Community Development Department and works cross-functionally across the Federation.
