Job description

Responsibilities

Review project applications and technical submittals for completeness and alignment with program requirements.
Perform engineering reviews, including review and validation of calculations and assumptions used to estimate energy savings.
Manage project pipeline, including milestone tracking and documentation.
Oversee project performance to ensure quality, timeliness, and customer satisfaction.
Confirm all required documentation (e.g., proposals, invoices, post-installation reports) is submitted accurately.
Produce technical reports that summarize project scope, methodologies, assumptions, findings, and recommendations.
Coordinate inspections and project reviews with the inspection and engineering team.
Identify and escalate any risks to the Program Manager.
Provide guidance to Trade Allies on program requirements, tools, and standards.
Develop content and present program training and webinars.
Manage multiple project schedules, deliverables, and budgets simultaneously while meeting deadlines and client expectations.
Participate in meetings and presentations, providing clear and accurate responses to technical and program-related questions.
Provide technical assistance to customers, contractors, and other stakeholders, including support with energy savings calculations and meeting program requirements.
Stay informed about energy issues and industry trends through regular technical reading and participation in local and national professional organizations.
Collaborate and work cross-functionally with a large and diverse team of project engineers located throughout the East Region and nationally.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Energy, or related discipline).
3–6 years of experience with energy analysis, technical report writing, engineering review, or program administration.
Strong understanding of HVAC systems, energy systems, building science, and high-performance design.
Proficiency with spreadsheet-based energy calculations and custom analysis tools.
Experience reviewing ECM recommendations and savings calculations for technologies such as HVAC, motors, lighting, controls, refrigeration, building envelope, and appliances.
Knowledge of energy codes and standards including ASHRAE and IECC.
Strong project management, organizational, and time management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences and develop/deliver training content.
Licenses, certifications and accreditations are a plus (e.g., Professional Engineer, Engineer in Training, Certified Energy Manager, Building Energy Modeling Professional).
Team-oriented, adaptive, and proactive with strong client service focus.
Travel: Up to 15% local/regional travel for site visits and customer meetings.
