POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for supporting the execution of upcoming campaigns, events and donor engagement strategies. This role is integral to advancing the JCC’s mission by coordinating development activities and delivering high-quality events that inspire participation and philanthropy. This position will work closely with the Development and Marketing teams to manage logistics, support operations, and execute signature donor events, including JCC’s annual event, Big Night.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Campaign Coordination:

Supports the implementation of Development initiatives, including timelines, materials, and internal coordination.
Assists in planning and executing campaign launches, milestone events, and donor engagement initiatives.
Coordinates communications and materials in partnership with Development and Marketing.
Supports tracking activity, pledges, and engagement, ensuring accurate and timely updates in CRM systems.
Maintains calendars, profiling and supports adherence to key milestones and deadlines.

Event Planning & Execution:

Coordinates logistics for fundraising and donor events, including JCC’s annual event, Big Night, receptions, parlor meetings, and recognition events.
Manages event details including vendor coordination, invitations, registration, run-of-show, and on-site execution.
Oversees guest management, including invitation lists, RSVP tracking, and seating coordination.
Ensures events are executed professionally, on time, and within budget.
Coordinates post-event follow-up, including acknowledgments and reporting.

Donor Engagement & Stewardship:

Supports donor engagement strategies through events and campaign touchpoints.
Assists with stewardship efforts, including donor recognition and communications.
Ensures a high level of professionalism and responsiveness in all donor interactions.

Administrative & Operational Support:

Maintains accurate records of donor engagement, event participation, and development activity in CRM systems.
Tracks event budgets, invoices, and expenses.
Prepares event briefs, timelines, and internal communications to support cross-functional coordination.
Provides general administrative support to the Development team as needed.

Leadership Collaboration & Administration:

Supports Development team and lay leaders in major gift cultivation and solicitation.
Supports Development team to maintain accurate donor records and moves management activity in Salesforce CRM, NPSP.

General Responsibilities:

Possesses organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Works effectively with other key JCC departments to provide effective and efficient service delivery.
Ability to define problems, develop solutions, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to manage and balance a variety of responsibilities in a fast-paced environment under tight time constraints.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

While performing the above duties, this position routinely requires handling persons and/or objects and moving safely throughout the building. This position may include walking, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling. This position requires communicating, either verbally or in writing. This position frequently requires moving items weighing up to 25 pounds. This position occasionally requires moving items weighing up to 50 pounds. Must be able to complete all essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

Supervision from Director of Annual Giving & Operations

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration or non-profit management and at least 3 years of experience in event coordination, nonprofit development or related field preferred. Familiarity with Jewish and Pittsburgh communal organizations or mission-driven work is a plus. Strong working knowledge of Customer Relationship software, Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite.
