Job description
Overview
Housekeeping is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the College/Clinic building and assist in eliminating distractions such as unwanted dirt and smells from the learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, striping and waxing of floors.
- Select, measure and mix products for cleaning jobs.
- Clean, sanitize and polish restrooms and their fixtures.
- Clean and polish classroom and office furniture.
- Remove waste and debris.
- Stock closets with cleaning and paper products.
- Sweep and shovel walkways 10' from all entrances.
- Check and fill soap dispensers as necessary.
- Demonstrates ability to follow directions and provide dependable services.
- Washing windows and window sills.
Qualifications
Education/Experience
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- 1 or more years of custodial experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Proven experience as a Cleaner or Housekeeper.
- Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance.
- Customer-oriented and friendly.
- Prioritization and time management skills.
- Working quickly without compromising quality.
Working Conditions
- The ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
