QUALIFICATIONS
Required
Completion of an accredited Cardiac Sonography program.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Eligible to obtain professional registry credentials within 12 months of employment if not already credentialed.
Preferred
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification.
Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) certification.
Prior experience performing echocardiographic studies in a hospital or clinical setting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform echocardiogram examinations in accordance with physician orders, established protocols, and industry standards.
Produce accurate, high-quality diagnostic images to assist physicians in evaluating cardiac conditions.
Ensure proper operation, maintenance, and quality control of ultrasound equipment to support uninterrupted patient care.
Maintain compliance with departmental policies, safety regulations, infection prevention standards, and quality improvement initiatives.
Accurately document procedures and patient information within applicable systems.
Support a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and patient-centered care.
Participate in ongoing education and annual training related to safety, emergency response, and regulatory requirements.
