Job description

Duties

You will have utilize Federal Cataloging, MILSTRIP, Supply Management System, and Standardization Programs, conversant in the supply and requisitioning procedures relevant to the clothing and textile commodity area.
You will have knowledge of interrelated supply processes to resolve issues involving supply processes, development of requirements, catalog data management, and day to day identification of problems and their resolution.
You will perform a variety of complex tasks required in the introduction of new clothing items into the Supply System and completes pertinent studies of major significance, impact and complexity.
You will prepare supply request packages and develop implementing instructions to concerned supply organizations, in time to ensure availability of funds, economic phase out of existing assets and orderly phase in of new items and target wear dates.

This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications
GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Evaluating relevant data for size studies relating to tariffs for new clothing and textile items based on actual demand experience and making recommendations on revised tariffs to be utilized based on such evaluations. Applying knowledge of the Federal Cataloging, MILSTRIP, Supply Management System, and Standardization Programs. Effectively and professionally communicating with customers at all levels.Working knowledge of drawing and specifications for clothing, textiles, and individual equipment items. Resolving difficult issues and problems in the assigned areas of responsibility.

GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Evaluating relevant data for size studies relating to tariffs for new clothing and textile items. Applying knowledge of the Federal Cataloging, MILSTRIP, Supply Management System, and Standardization Programs. Knowledge of interrelated supply processes to resolve issues involving supply processes, development of requirements, catalog data management, and day to day identification of problems and their resolution. Utilizing analytical tools and automated systems to do analysis requirements and computation of forecasts.
