Job description

The core responsibility of this position is to empower individuals to achieve the highest possible levels of independence, whether they are at home, engaged in work, participating in community activities, or residing in a Family Provider setting. This involves not only facilitating access to necessary resources and support but also advocating for the rights and preferences of those served. By focusing on individual strengths and aspirations, the role aims to create a supportive atmosphere that encourages self-sufficiency and personal fulfillment.

Additionally, the position emphasizes the importance of providing meaningful and inclusive life experiences for all individuals involved. This includes developing and implementing programs and activities that promote social engagement, skill development, and community integration. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

A Master's Degree or above from an accredited college or university and one year of work experience working directly with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities or autism is required; or
A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university and two years of experience working directly with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities or autism is required; or
An Associate's degree or 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university and four years working directly with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities or autism.
