Position Summary

The Health Center Team Lead drives daily operations, ensuring efficiency, exceptional patient experiences, and adherence to ACCESS policies and procedures. As a Superuser (MA or Receptionist), they provide expert guidance, support staff development, and uphold the highest standards of care. In partnership with the Health Center Manager, they assess, plan, and oversee activities to create a seamless, patient-care environment.

Core Job Responsibilities

Train, mentor, and support staff to ensure adherence to standards and best practices.
Serve as a Superuser for EPIC and other key systems to improve efficiency.
Supervise staff, provide leadership, and deliver performance feedback.
Resolve patient concerns, support staff, and ensure a positive experience.
Implement new processes and ensure compliance with OSHA, IDPH, The Joint Commission (TJC).
Optimize scheduling efficiency, reduce patient wait times, and overall service quality.
Maintain inventory, manage supplies, and oversee cash collections.
Develop staff schedules, assign tasks, and lead daily huddles.
Perform within expert scope of practice and manage emergencies, including servicing as Vaccine for Children (VFC) liaison.
Perform other responsibilities as assigned to support health equity initiatives.

Requirements/Preferences

High school diplomas or equivalent required.
Two (2) years’ healthcare experience and one (1) year as an MA required.
Minimum (6) months as an EPIC Superuser.
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Working Conditions/Equipment

Requires local travel between clinical/health centers, hospitals, and community sites. A valid driver’s license and proof of insurance are required when using a personal vehicle.
