Benefits Assistance Program/Outreach Coordinator

Position Summary

Civic Works, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Benefits Assistance Program/Outreach Coordinator throughout all of Baltimore City Age-Friendly Upgrades for Elder’s Services Program. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with a passion for community outreach, aging in place, and housing rehabilitation to make a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults. This position provides critical support to Civic Works’ housing programs (Elder Services Program).

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, solution-oriented, and have prior experience working with seniors or in a human services setting. This role includes both field and office work, with regular travel throughout Baltimore City and partnership sites. Personal transportation is required (mileage reimbursed provided).

Key Responsibilities

Manage a caseload of older adult clients and provide application assistance for home repair and support services
Conduct community outreach to identify eligible clients and build program awareness
Develop relationships with community groups, agencies, and service providers
Participate in events, health/resource fairs, and outreach activities
Assist clients with navigating benefits and accessing additional support resources
Advocate on behalf of clients and ensure timely follow-up
Accurately maintain documentation and case notes
Support the planning and execution of outreach events and marketing
Travel regularly throughout Baltimore City to meet clients and attend partner meetings

Qualifications
Qualifications Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or GED required; college coursework or degree preferred
At least 1 year of case management or related human services experience
Experience working with older adults
Passion for supporting seniors and promoting dignity and independence
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Dependable, flexible, and self-motivated
Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
Able to pass a drug test and criminal background check
Experience with database software or client management systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
