Job Overview:

The Content Writer contributes original, expertly written, yet both customer-oriented and easily understood product descriptions for an assigned product category (Pro/Consumer Photo, Video, Computers, Audio, etc). A well-written product description includes a detailed overview, which summarizes various benefits of the product, as well as elaborating and highlighting the specific features and unique technologies.

Essential Responsibilities:

Conducts comprehensive research on assigned products utilizing professional, vendor, blog and other relevant resources

Collaborates with internal departments to gain information for product descriptions

Prioritizes workflow to complete high urgency descriptions

Drafts a complete, professional, customized, and non-copied description that clearly explains and improves customer understanding of a product and related features

Responds to bugs or requests to correct and update description content

Composes additional content for necessary fields such as “what’s in the box,” specifications, etc

Writes material in conformity to company formatting and content standards

Stay abreast of market trends/technologies

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

In-depth knowledge of assigned product category

Creative writing skills and ability to create a personable aura in writing that is simple and easily understood by the customer

Professional written and verbal communication skills

Strong research skills

Ability to learn new product and computer technologies

Proficient knowledge of Microsoft office

Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and to work under pressure

Detail oriented and organizational skills

Preferred Education, Experience and Licenses:

Minimum 3-5 years composing original written materials (blogs, reviews, product descriptions, etc)  related to B&H relevant electronics categories

Minimum 2-4 years operating professional-level technology within assigned department
