Job description

The Head of Donor Relations will work with the Head of Development and the CEO to considerably increase funding both in Israel and internationally so as to meet its significant undertakings developing a wide range of scientific and educational activities.

As Head of Donor Relations, You Get To:
• Have full responsibility for writing all grant proposals (including budgets) and reports, ensuring they are well-written, accurate, impact-driven, and tell a compelling story;
• Have full responsibility for drafting all correspondence, LOIs, and other supporting documents, at all times adapting to the needs of each donor and prospect;
• Work hand-in-hand with the CEO and Head of Development to expand the current donor base both in Israel and abroad (foundations, private donors, the corporate sector and government sources);
• Research opportunities for engaging new funders in the work of the organization;
• Oversee the preparation of all donor meetings;
• Oversee the tracking of grant cycles and donor engagement in an organized and streamlined manner, including all reporting requirements, check-in meetings, and donor cultivation activities.
• Develop, write and produce a variety of recognition materials, including reports, publications and correspondence;
• Integrate and implement digital tools to support donor reporting and recognition, including online platforms and interactive reports;
• Collaborate closely with academic units, friends’ associations and development teams worldwide.

 

This Job Is For You If You:
• Have previously worked for at least three years in a development department of an Israeli nonprofit or academic institution;
• Have demonstrated success writing successful grants, reports and the full gamut of written donor communications;
• Have faultless English and impeccable writing skills;
• Have faultless Hebrew and impeccable writing skills;
• Are familiar with data management;
• Have proven experience preparing detailed budgets on Excel spreadsheets;
• Can complete projects with exceptional attention to detail and efficiency;
• Are exceptionally flexible, personable, and motivated;
• Are a true team player who can work independently yet can easily and fully collaborate with colleagues;
• Can multi-task and prioritize, and are a quick learner;
• Are a strategic and nuanced thinker capable of creating innovative ways to effectively engage new donor audiences;
• Have a deep understanding of both the Jewish philanthropic landscape;
• Are ethical and able to model high personal and professional standards;
• Have an academic degree.
