Lead Maintenance Technician at Jewish Collaborative Services

Jewish Collaborative Services seeks an experienced Lead Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance and operation of its Warwick, RI communities. This hands-on role performs advanced maintenance and repair work, oversees preventative maintenance, coordinates with vendors, and serves as a trusted resource to the Maintenance Director and site leadership. It carries no formal supervisory authority but provides guidance, training, and mentorship to apprentice and entry-level technicians. Responsibilities: • Perform advanced maintenance and repair across plumbing, electrical, appliance, carpentry, and building systems • Create and manage preventative maintenance schedules • Provide on-the-job training, technical guidance, and mentorship to junior maintenance technicians • Serve as a subject matter resource for maintenance best practices, safety procedures, and troubleshooting • Provide supportive assistance to residents beyond routine maintenance requests Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent required • 3–5+ years of maintenance experience in multifamily housing, senior living, healthcare, or hospitality preferred • Advanced knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, carpentry, and building systems • Strong understanding of OSHA regulations, life safety systems, and CMMS/electronic work order platforms • Must be able to climb ladders, bend, crawl into awkward spaces, lift 50 lbs, and push/pull a minimum of 300 lbs Salary: $22.00/hour.
