Hebrew/Judaics Teacher at Lander-Grinspoon Academy

Lander-Grinspoon Academy, a pluralistic K-6 Jewish day school in Northampton, MA, is hiring a dynamic and creative part-time Hebrew/Judaics teacher. This is a great opportunity for a current graduate student, someone interested in exploring school-based teaching, or a recently retired teacher who isn't quite ready to leave it all behind. Responsibilities: • Teach two Hebrew/Judaics classes every day, with some flexibility based on skill level and interest as to which classes • Partner with families in regular communication • Nurture a joyful sense of Jewish identity within each student • Teach about Jewish holidays at appropriate times of year • Implement the school's social/emotional curriculum alongside its academic program Qualifications: • Speak Hebrew fluently • Hold a Bachelor's degree • Strong Judaic content knowledge • Experience teaching elementary grade students • Work well as part of a team • Enthusiasm for contributing to school-wide initiatives including social justice, the on-site working farm, and creative arts Salary: $18,000 - $26,000, commensurate with experience and education.
