Guest Experience Specialist at Stroum Jewish Community Center

The Stroum Jewish Community Center is hiring Guest Experience Specialists to serve as the face of the organization — the first person members, guests, volunteers, vendors, and visitors meet when they walk through the doors. This is a host, concierge, problem solver, and information expert role rolled into one, not a typical front desk position. Every day you'll interact with children heading to preschool, families attending events, members working out, older adults in programs, volunteers, and first-time guests. Responsibilities: • Welcome every member and guest with genuine warmth and hospitality, and learn members' names • Give engaging tours to prospective members and answer questions about memberships, programs, events, and facility offerings • Process memberships, registrations, payments, and retail purchases • Answer phones and assist visitors professionally and efficiently • Resolve concerns with empathy, sound judgment, and professionalism • Monitor lobby and entrance activity, manage access control systems, and follow established security procedures • Keep the Welcome Desk organized and support café operations as needed Qualifications: • Customer service experience required • Experience in hospitality, hotels, customer-facing retail, recreation, or community centers especially valuable • Dependable, organized, and comfortable using computers and point-of-sale systems • Able to juggle multiple priorities in a busy environment • Able to stand and move throughout the facility for much of a shift and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds **Pay:** $17.50 to $20.00 per hour, based on experience.
