Job description
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Establish global quality standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and complete and on-time delivery; develop quality processes that result in cost efficient, effective, and timely results
Develop and establish global quality policies in conjunction with other functional groups in the areas of Lean Manufacturing techniques, shipping and receiving, safety, customer satisfaction, and performance measures
Direct the implementation and execution of quality policies and practices throughout the organization; provide direction and leadership to existing operations, as well as new launches
Recommend and implement strategic changes in the quality strategy worldwide; establish standard tools and visible management guidance to maintain best practices in all company facilities
Build, develop and manage a quality leadership team capable of carrying out needed operations strategies and improving customer satisfaction and operational efficiency
Provide leadership for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements and improved working relationships
Provide leadership through a 12-month planning cycle and beyond
Oversee the quality budget to ensure compliance with organizational expenditure requirements
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
University Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred or Bachelor’s with equivalent job experience
Experience in quality management within a lean manufacturing environment and quality assurance
Leadership: a demonstrated ability to lead people and produce results through others.
Six Sigma certification is preferred
Strong interpersonal skills and can communicate effectively with all groups and levels within the organization
Good written communication skills
