Job description

The Role:

The Chief of Staff to the SVP, Global Value Engineering is a trusted member of the Value Engineering leadership team. Responsible for directed work primarily triggered by direction from the SVP and leadership, as well as self-directed work, which includes inputs and priorities from the VE leadership team, this role will drive operational excellence and execution of strategic and vital projects in VE or for GTM. The CoS to the SVP will enable communication, collaboration, strategy execution, and special projects across the Value Engineering organization. They will serve as a sounding board for the SVP, executing high-impact projects and programs that are crucial to the success of the VE organization and Celonis as we scale.

The work you’ll do:

Directly support the SVP in the definition and execution of the strategic roadmap
Lead and execute on urgent and strategic key projects for the SVP and the broader organization
Partner closely with SVP on Partnership and Customer initiatives
Involved with all strategic initiatives that will support and impact the growth and trajectory of the global VE organization
Partner as a sounding board for the SVP on new ideas and initiatives
Support the SVP in the management of the VE Leadership governance, leading preparation and strategy for meetings, including: offsite cadence, content, action items, and execution follow-up
Collaborate with the SVP, his direct reports and other key stakeholders on key initiatives, ongoing projects and meetings.
Manage budget in partnership with FP&A
Drive cross-functional processes, ensuring alignment to current processes and programs (with support from process owners)
Support communication of key messaging with the organization, Celonis, and external interactions with senior leaders across the company

The qualifications you need:

Understanding of Celonis’ strategy and ability to effectively navigate through the organization
Strong business and commercial acumen and understands Finance as a strategic function in a global scale-up with public company readiness ambitions
Deep project management experience with demonstrated success leading complex projects from inception to completion
Prior consulting experience strongly preferred
Demonstrated ability to deal with uncertainty, solve complex problems and build scalable processes
Innovative and works consistently with abstract ideas or situations across multiple areas of the Finance division
Proven ability to quickly learn new things while being comfortable working in a high-growth, constantly changing environment
Experience handling sensitive and confidential financial material in a public company
Ability to work collaboratively and efficiently with stakeholders throughout the organization
Experience interacting with the Board and C-Suite with ease and confidence
Concise and effective written and verbal communication
Comfortable working independently and delivering results autonomously when needed while also able to inspire collaborative solutions and achieve results through others
Problem solver, analytical, and organized thinker
Confident taking initiative and an aptitude for working well with a wide range of people
“Calm under fire” demeanor
Willingness to take on new challenges, which has led to opportunities for increased scope overtime
