The opportunity

We currently have an opportunity for an Underwriting Assistant II to join our Global Network US Servicing (GNUS) team based in our New York City, NY office on a hybrid schedule. The Underwriting Assistant II will service Reverse Flow business in support of the Global Network. This job provides advanced technical services and administrative support for Intact’s Global Network Underwriters. Some of the Underwriting Assistant II responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Reviews foreign producing offices’ underwriting requests for US local admitted policy needs and assist the Global Network US Underwriters in validating requested premium and coverage requirements.
Working alongside the Global Network Underwriters, UA II will apply underwriting & rating rules during transaction processing to ensure compliance with filings and guidelines.
Effectively uses policy underwriting and workflow management systems to process submission, renewal and endorsement transactions.
Collaborates with Global Network Underwriters to ensure transactions are processed in a timely fashion and in compliance with the Global Network Service Level Agreement standards.
Works closely with other service units, including Intact Operations, Finance/Premium Accounting to service accounts.
Assists with special projects as needed.

Education and Experience:

High School diploma required, with demonstrated business experience.
Some college is preferred.
1 - 3 years of insurance experience preferred.
Multinational and/or Reverse Flow experience is preferred, but not required.
Our salary ranges are determined by many factors including location, role, experience and skillset of the candidate. The following ranges displayed reflect the target base salary for new hires; however, your recruiter will provide more specific compensation details during the hiring process. The typical base salary range for this position is: $57,000 - $66,000, based on the factors aforementioned. In addition to base salary, full time Intact employees are also eligible for bonus potential and a full range of benefits to include but not limited to:
